Many of you know her for the soft erotic “Giovani, belle, probabilmente ricche” (we’ve just presented it, do you?). Directed by the filmaker Gerard Damiano, the “Eisenstein” of hardcore, it was produced in only 6 days, costed only 25,000 dollars and earned 600 millions. One of the greatest blockbusters in cinema history. It was defined porno chic by intellectuals, Sinatra bought a copy for a private watch, New York Times spoke about, Johnny Caron and Bob Hope talk about, Jackie Onassis and Truman Capote saw it… An unforgettable movie, known even by those who have never saw it. It had so many imitations and followers than after a while it was named La vera gola profonda (The Real Deep Throat). We at CinemaCult are working on great classics or, better, on the greatest. Today we present one of the masterpiece from that genious direction talent whose name is Russ Meyer. He’s catalogued as one of the second class and pornsoft movies directors. But now critics is given a second chance with a new evaluation of his works. His first movie, The immoral Mr Teas, 1959, maybe is the first hardcore movie in USA. Among 20 movies he realized, today we choose Up!, 1969. Going on in his career he became more extreme, pornographic, pop, pulp. We must remember that Tarantino is found of his works, in example. Up! is one of his last movies, an allucinated journey with all the women he loved: with big big breasts.
