Penombra is the third film in a trilogy made by Bruno Gaburro in the 1980s. It is Paola Senatore‘s last three films before her transition to porn (with only one film), but her parts in this film are taken from the previous two. In fact, the film is composed as follows: a summary of Maladonna, a part shot from scratch specifically for this third installment, and a summary of Malombra. Only the actors who took part in the new sequences are credited in the opening titles. Unfortunately, there is only one unreleased nude scene, which is quite interesting. In the thirty-eighth minute we find Marcella Petrelli and Carmen Di Pietro, dressed as nuns. The two actresses undress, then give us a lesbian sequence.
