When The Blair Witch Project was presented, many were enchanted by the terrific idea of a film based on the finding of an unprofessional videotape. They forget that twenty years before, Ruggero Deodato made Cannibal Holocaust, the most censored film in the history of the cinema.
Speaking apparently of cannibals from Amazonas, he made a strong critic to contemporary society and mass media, in a very cruent movie that gave him many troubles with censorship. In the film there is also space for some interesting nude scenes, with two very interesting actresses: Francesca Ciardi and Lucia Costantini.
